South Willard
South Willard is a gallery and project space in Chinatown, Los Angeles. Founded in 2004 by Ryan Conder, it began as a storefront for clothing and design and has stayed close to that original impulse. The space presents exhibitions and also functions as a shop, offering a rotating selection of objects, clothing, furniture, printed matter, and artworks. The focus is on materials, usefulness, and things that hold up over time. South Willard works with artists and designers whose practices move between disciplines, keeping the line between art, design, and everyday use intentionally open.
